Jerry Garcia Band - Palladium, NYC - 11.27.77
The month of November 1977 was a blur of amazing shows, beginning with the Dead's upstate NY shows, to Hot Tuna, NRPS, the JGB shows, and a Jethro Tull gig at Madison Square Garden to end that month. In December it would be off to the west coast to catch the Dead's NYE run at Winterland
This iteration of the Jerry Garcia Band featured the Grateful Dead’s Keith and Donna Godchaux along with Maria Muldaur on vocals, John Kahn and Buzz Buchanan. The “cat” backdrop art would be used as the cover art for Jerry Garcia’s Cats Under the Stars released in April 1978.
The Palladium, formally the Academy Of Music was a theater turned concert hall on 14th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan. All the big acts of the day played there. It was a seated show with reserved seats, so to take pictures I had to go down the aisle, guerrilla style and grab a few photographs.
Print will be hand-signed by Bob Minkin.
